Your lehenga gets the headlines, but your feet write the story of the day. A bridal juti must survive twelve hours, a thousand photographs and one very long pheras, so here is how the artisans of Bhinmal design for exactly that.

Fit first, sparkle second

The Blush Pink Bridal pairs hand-applied pearls and gota-patti borders with a memory-foam insole. The rule from our workshops: if you cannot dance in it at the fitting, you will not survive the reception in it.

The one-week rule

  1. Wear the juti indoors for 30 minutes a day for a week before the wedding
  2. Break in the back counter, which is where blisters hide
  3. Keep the sole dry; silk uppers love shade, not the midday sun
A bride should float, not hobble. We stitch for the float.

And when the night ends and the jewellery comes off, keep the juti. Ten years from now, it will still smell faintly of that one perfect day.
